24th May 2012
BCL Legal Recruitment and Addleshaw Goddard LLP are pleased to invite you to a seminar on “Business in the Technology Age” on Thursday 24th May, with breakfast from 08:30 am.
For businesses trading and marketing online, there has been a range of developments of which you need to be aware, so that you ensure that your business is complying with the law. E-commerce and associated marketing campaigns are powerful tools to drive sales, but there is increasing regulation in this area of business.
The session will cover social media and promotional tweets, the Consumer Protection Regulations, the OFT’s stated enforcement priorities on misleading pricing, behavioural marketing and the new rules on cookies, and a summary of the position on association with major sporting events such as Euro 2012 and the Olympic and Paralympic Games.
The speakers will be Addleshaw Goddard Commercial Partner James Whittaker and Associate Rebecca Moore. James and Rebecca specialise in e-commerce, advertising and marketing issues across a range of media including online, press and broadcast advertising, as well as marketing and trading online.
The session will suit in-house lawyers hoping for a refresher on the subject, as well as those dealing with e-commerce and marketing in their daily practice. It may also be of interest to marketing and pricing professionals who are regularly involved in designing and implementing marketing campaigns and pricing offers.
Mark Levine, Ruth Taylor & Adam Zdravkovic look forward to seeing you there!
